Using Books to Talk about Dying, Death and Bereavement

Wednesday 17th January, 10am - 11am

Bereavement affects all ages, including young people. Yet, often children and teenagers are left out of conversations about the end of life. Join Dr Alison Waller for this session that will explore adolescent grief and the creative ways to discuss it, including the best books to use.

Monday 22nd January, 3.30pm - 4.30pm

How do we combat the decline in teenagers' reading enjoyment and engagement? Join University of Edinburgh Literacy Lab's Dr Sarah McGeown and Charlotte Webber to hear feedback from teenagers on reading attitudes, as well as practical ideas for how to support their reading practices.
