Sarah Pavey

Sarah Pavey has over 20 years’ experience as a professionally qualified librarian in schools both in the independent and maintained sectors. She also has worked in pharmaceuticals as an information scientist and in qualitative market research. Sarah specialises in information skills / information literacy training courses for librarians, teachers and students. As a consultant she has helped set up modern school libraries with an emphasis on digital resources. Sarah is the author of several library publications and regularly speaks at conferences that have included BETT and Online Information.

Sarah achieved Fellowship of CILIP on the strength of her information literacy lateral thinking game and had built on this to promote the use of games to teach information handling. She has also written publications for the SLA on mobile technology in schools and shows how this can be utilised as a learning tool for revision and presentation skills as well as for information literacy.
