As a School Librarian you may sometimes feel isolated and in need of someone to talk to. The SLA encourages the setting up of local Branches to enable members to meet together for mutual support. Branches often run events and courses locally. Members can belong to the Branch where they work, or one where they live if that is different.
We have also created a Toolkit for branch committee members, covering information such as branch stationery, guidance notes and sample documents for you to use. This is also available as an Online Branch Toolkit (you will need to be logged in as a member). There are also some great ideas for events you can put on as a branch here.
