Using Books to Talk about Dying, Death, and Bereavement

Dying, death and bereavement affect people of all ages, including young people.

The Child Bereavement Network estimates that on average roughly one pupil in every UK classroom may have experienced bereavement.

However, very often children and teenagers are left out of conversations about the end of life. Books and storytelling are a valuable way of introducing these issues and navigating through them sensitively.
