"Ideas forum - shared practice for primary and secondary school libraries"
Tuesday 9th March
at La Sainte Union School, NW5
 (The school is on two sites. For the library building please go to the entrance between 51 & 53 Croftdown Road (off Highgate Road), London, NW5 1HD.  Parking is permitted on Croftdown Road. For further directions, please contact Sharyn Stancombe on 020 7428 4613)

The Ideas Forum is an opportunity to meet other practitioners, share expertise and return to school with new ideas.  Two members of the committee will start us off with presentations on primary and secondary school collaboration projects. Afterwards the floor will be open for discussion and contributions from the audience.  Please feel free to bring along examples of your work on this or any other topic.

3.15pm             Setting up a Living Library:  working with a local primary school - Linda Kelley (Librarian, St Paul's Girl's School)
3.35pm            Shadowing the Kate Greenaway Award:  a collaborative approach - Jackie Howse (Librarian, Merchant Taylor's School)
3.55 pm            Audience discussion and sharing of good practice

The first meeting of the London Branch of the School Library Association was held at St Paul's Girls' School, Brook Green, London W6 7BS on Thursday March 12^th 2009.It was followed by our speaker Tricia Adams (Director of the School Library Association) speaking on "Learning Friendly Libraries"
